Report of Alfred Burgar falling off kerb (1880)
Alfred Burgar appears in the ' Lloyd's Weekly Newspaper (London, England),Sunday, April 4, 1880; Issue 1950' reporting that he suffered a fall as follows:
Yesterday, Alfred Burgar, 42, a fishmonger of 10, Lion Street, Chelsea, was walking along Lion Street when he slipped, and his head coming in contact with the kerb, he sustained such severe injuries to the scalp as to necessitate removal to St. Georges Hospital.
Is it possible that Alfred might have been drunk? Or was he merely unlucky?
