It is thought that Margaret Sinclair was married to an unknown Burgar and was the mother of Girsle and John Burgher.
The reasons for this are that she was a widow supporting a crippled son called George Burgar from 1755 onwards.
See records showing George Burgher and mother Margaret Sinclair.
John Burgher and Margaret Duncan are thought to have had children from about 1740 to 1755.
However, in 1758 she was a widow receiving Poor Relief. Then she had a relationship with Henry Williamson and the Kirk reprimanded her savagely for fornication.
See Margaret Duncan's punishments
It thus seems that this part of the family had a tough life.
